Green Bottles - Sold

The refreshing rains have come along, and Green Bottles captures that refreshing feeling perfectly for me. The cool, transclucent pale green glass beads has such a softness to it that reminds me of the cool air that is left behind by the heavy, cold rains. I've match a yellow-based polymer clay bead that is dotted with colourful flowers with the soft green glass beads, and as an accent, i've included an irregular opalescent glass nugget to complete this bracelet. Green Bottles measures 7.5" long.

Breakfast at Tiffany's - Sold

Paul Varjak's love story probably wouldn't have been as fascinating if the lady he pined after wasn't Holly Golightly. The way she reveled in the male attention, yet behave like an innocent bambi when she realised she could trust him. That probably is one of the modern fairytales that everybody loves to hate, yet hates to love. Breakfast at Tiffany's features a Love brass charm, that hangs off a 24" brass toned necklace.

Mystic Falls - Sold

If you watch Vampire Diaries, you'll know what i'm talking about. Mystic Falls, home to the supernatural, vampires, werewolves, amongst i'm sure more creatures that we'll see as the seasons unfold. Mystic Falls is also home to a few love stories, a story of strong friendships, and of growing up. We all know how all that feels. Almost aww-inducing.

The 2 hand blown glass beads from Perth kind of remind me of that deep pooling of mystery, as well as something less sinister, and perhaps a little squishy love. When sometimes the darkness threatens to overcome us, we always step out of it, that bit more grown up, that bit stronger.

Msytic Falls measures 3.8cm tall and comes complete with 14k gold plated ear hooks.

Seeing Double - Sold

Seeing Double features our adorable girl that appeared in the much loved I'm not worried, I'm Happy necklace. This time round we found her pint sized sister that bears a striking resemblance to her. Decked out in the exact same wellies, polka dotted scarf, and raincoat!

The two sisters measure 3cm & 2cm respectively, and hang off a 24" necklace.

Zoe - Sold

Zoe features a pair of 1.5cm gold drops that hang off 14k gold ear posts for a simple, classic look. Like they say don't reinvent the wheel if you don't have to. The classics will always bring that touch of class & style to any outfit you wear. Zoe measures a total of 2.3cm.

Ribbon & Twine - Sold

Ribbon & Twine features a 14mm tall haematoid quartz with the lightest pink streaks against a clear quartz oval. Like pink ribbons that are wielded deftly by rhythmic gymnasts, the haematoid streaks across the clear quartz with the lightest of touches and brightens up with its delightful presence.

The black electroplated ball chain, as hardy as twine, serves to anchor the oval for a contrasting presence. Finally finishing the 23" necklace with an elegant 14k gold plated tab.

Elisabeth - Sold

Elisabeth features some really gorgeous moss agate teardrop beads. With some really luscious looking gemmy babies, this is one of my favourite necklaces from my collection of recently accomplished necklaces. Simple and easily classy, the green & gold combination will set you apart from the others trying to out-bling you at a party, or at a casual occasion. Almost effortless i say.

Ruby quartz puffed squares dangle off hammered rhodium plated ovals for a classical look. Silver for the staple and the soft pinkish hues of the ruby quartz for the feminine quality. The Crystal King - Sold

In the Ohio Caverns, where some of the most gorgeous stalactite formations are found, the Crystal King hangs off the ceiling at a depth of 103meters below surface. The furthest away from the ground amongst all its other spectacular formations.

The Crystal King carries the same clarity & sharpness as the natural formation. This petite version hangs off rhodium ear posts and measures a total of 3.5cm.

Chains of Steel - Sold

Some people proclaim strength of physicality, some of resolution and some of faith. For me when everything else starts crumbling, i believe strongest in resolution, only because i am pig-headed and sometimes absolutely stubborn.

I'm sure you have your own strength, however may the earrings Chains of Steel remind you that one of us, is only as strong as all of us. Sometimes you don't always have to be the winner. And if everyone can succeed while linking arms, that's quite a mighty feat too.

The beaches of Prevally - Sold

I'm back from the hols, it was a fantastic week spent in Perth. The weather was absolutely delightful, it being winter & all. And the view was the most amazing! Being a city girl always makes me yearn for the tall trees, the meadows, the rolling countryside and the most amazing beaches.

The trip took me from Perth, down to Margaret River, down to Walpole & Denmark and back up to Perth. Along the way we stopped at the many beautiful beaches. This mother of pearl starfish & glass briolette sums up the gorgeousness of those beaches for me. Clear blue seas, and white foamy waves that crash up against the rocky outcrops. Such is the simplicity of nature.

I hope it conjures up similar imagery for you when you wear this necklace. A place of serenity of your own.

Moira - Sold

Moira's that gorgeous beauty with rosy cheeks, pale complexion and when you call her by her name, she turns around and sees through you with those greyish-green eyes. Her piercing beauty leaves you breathless, and then she says hi, and you immediately collapse into a pile of clothes that had its support whisked from under it.

Gorgeous polymer clay beads by Karin, that will soon be limited edition, matched with the classy mother of pearl diamond with intricate carvings. Moira measures 4.5cm excluding 14k gold plated earhooks.

Candy Cane - Sold

I apologise for the long hiatus, unfortunately my computer which holds pictures and order details has gone down and has yet to be revived. I'm re-shooting pictures of jewelry that has been completed, as well as trying to work out a system to monitor all the orders i have.

Here's the first of a few eye candy that will be appearing on this blog. Candy Cane's focal are the gorgeous hand-blown glass beads in red, overlaid with bubblegum pink. All making up a strong feature against your face for something to take to the weekends in. Candy Cane measures 3.8cm excluding 14k gold plated ear hooks. Do note that the handblown glass are not entirely of the same size, as with everything handmade, do allow for variance in terms of sizing and features.

K + 79:3 - Phoenicopterus - Sold

As we all know, flamingoes are famed for resting on one foot, some interesting reasons have been posited, but til now it's still not entirely clear. The most interesting one of which says that they are able to rest half their body, while the other half is awake. But of course, it remains but just a theory. Maybe wearing this necklace, will help u shut half a brain when you need to chillax from the daily grind. And if anybody says you're not as sharp, you can always say "yeah but i'm using half a brain." 14k gold plated flamingo measures 5cm, while black electroplated chain measures 22", finished off with a 14k gold plated lobster clasp.

K + 79:2 - Fool's Gold - Sold

2nd necklace of the K + 79 collection. Pyrite is also commonly known as fool's gold. Back in the gold mining days, pyrite with its silverish tone & gold flecks or brassy tone (depending on which spectrum of the gemstone you were getting), was easily mistaken for gold, therefore it's name. I've wirewrapped the pyrite gumdrop with 14k gold headpin, and strung it on a black electroplated chain. Chain measures 25", while pyrite pendant measures a tiny 5mm across, and finished with 14k gold plated spring clasp. See the complete necklace & close-up on 14k lobster clasp.

K + 79:1 - Half & Half - Sold

First of the Black & Gold collection, as the name of the collection states, it's all about black & gold, in colour and its various interpretations. It's definitely something edgier, funkier and more close to my heart than the other collections that i've come up with, coz it's just the way i dress. Also in the little touches where, i've tweaked it for that really personal feel, so I hope you like it!

A black cinnabar bead & 3 textured 14k gold plated rings hold fort in this design. Gold chains drape close against your chest, while the black chains go round your neck in Half & Half. To look at the close up of the cinnabar beads, go here, or at the other touch of personality, here.

Half & Half measures 34" and is completed with 14k gold plated parts & black electroplated (over nickel) parts.

Violetta - Sold

Violetta is sassy & full of feminine grace. Something i'd have to say, is totally not me ever in this lifetime. Featuring lilac tone roses, with dewy nectar in similar hues. Violetta is full of things that sparkle! Diamante loops dangle a lovely concoction of moonstone rondelle, 14k gold plated teardrop as seen in The Little One & finished off with a dear iolite tone faceted czech glass bead. Violetta measures a precious 3.5cm excluding 14k earhooks.

Gold'n Magnolia - Sold

Gold'n Magnolia is a departure from the usual look that I tend towards. Nevertheless, I have still kept the air of elegance, this time round with a bit more details for your eyes. Starting from the top with a pair of diamante ear studs are a pair of magnolia tone polymer clay roses, teamed with a filigree. Other more interesting petite pretties are a wooden cube, faceted yellow jasper ovals & a faux pearl in white. Gold'n Magnolia measures 4.2cm inclusive of 14k gold plated diamante ear studs.

I've had a great 2009 with all your wonderful support and wish that you've had a good year as well. I am very thankful for the fact that people think my work is beautiful enough to wear, on top of the fact that it is sitting amongst other jewelry that holds sentimental value to you.

I hope 2010 brings more new works that will continue to add a bit of beauty in this world. I have a few collections planned, with the first to be launched before CNY. As well as a few collaborations with some very talented people, hopefully I manage to get that going.

May Twenty Ten bring great joy & success (in your own terms) to all of you. I hope to see Earring Addict grow together with you people!
